Well, just some random pics of my school. Hm this area is outside the library. today was kind of hot. so it was a little glaring. but you can see from the picture that there are a couple of people lying on the grass etc. This is quite a common sight in campus. Previously i always see people lying on grass in brochures and i thought that they are merely posing for the brochures. Well, now that i am here, i realised that people are just lying all around! reading, eating apple, and doing all sorts of stuff. so relaxed. guess in Singapore, people don't usually lie around on grass patches. I came up with 2 reasons:

1) on rainy days, the grass are often wet and sitting on them will cause your butt area to be stained with brown stuff. other people's imagination will run wild.

2) you will probably be chao ta since it's usually so hot on a sunny day.

So i guess canberra does not have both problems.

here's the library. Oh, i took this pictue on my way home. hm i have to walk for around 30 min to get back to hall from school. I will pass by this place. look carefully. There's a bench and i took this picture cause i saw an old couple resting there in the late afternoon. So sweet and what a way to spend a afternoon.

I took a new path today so i passed by these houses. Nothing special just kpo so took a picture.

Cool hor??!! just walk around take pictures and relax one corner?? YOU ARE WRONG!! I HAVE TO STUDY OK!! just bought my textbooks. One of my textbook cost $350. most are 100 plus 200 plus. they are made of gold. i am being sacarstic if you didn't realise. i only bought 2 books.
This small tiny book costs $71!! n it is not even a textbook. just some tables and formula like formula sheet given in exam. So be grateful if formula sheets are provided in your exam cause i have to buy mine .. !! haha.

i feel like a mucus machine! i constantly produce mucus and i used up quite a lot of tissue already. i am not sick anymore and I cant understand why do i have to produce so much mucus. Maybe it's because the air is dry here. Another problem: When i breathe in the air, it will dry up my mucus and hence, they will become pisai. I am quite worried that when i am talking to people and there's just that something extra there. Especially now when i meet new people everyday. Wish me luck.

Hm i must admit i just watch the video you all gave me. Firstly, I did not realise that there is a disc inside the plastic cause i read them on plane and was too tired. Jeremy: So when you asked me the other day i was a little stunned and paiseh. Secondly, i was rather emo for the past week cause i kind of miss home. Hence, i refuse to watch anything too emo.

Hm from the video, I can infer that xueshan was late. erm, more importantly, i want to let you all know that i really appreciate it. I was so pleasantly surprised on my 21st bday that you all actually came up with a song for me with lyrics so apt yet slightly twisted. I have always wanted the recording of the song cause it will be great that i know how to sing a song for me!!! Now, you all came together again to deliver the song with updated lyrics somemore! cool!! hm i was laughing through the video and i guess i will watch it when i am feeling sad here. In case you all have no idea, i was really touched on the plane by your messages. Thx for the cookbook which supplies recipes with ingredients that i cannot find here. It's the thoughts that counts. I guess after so many years le we can still have so much to say, can still hang out together despite you all are working and old, guess our friendship will last a long way. In the meantime here, I will treasure the memories we share...

Hm I must say you all really know me well!! I can relate to what you said and imagine myself doing everything. But I need to clarify!!! I did not proclaim myself as the president of GLC ok! I became president somehow though I don’t know why and suspect it’s really because you are think I am G-L hor.
I did not expect that you all created this video just for me. I can imagine the amount of hard work and time put into it. Firstly, I want to praise Jianwei for putting it together. As a reward, I will not say you did not wear underwear for the next 2 semesters ok!! But after that I will still say huh. And thank you people who took time to appear in the video. Taffy although I am not around with you in econ, I guess you are quite glad that nobody will say that you were fat and had puffy hair in JC anymore. But I will be back to say it after 2 yrs ok!! I chose to watch the video today as today is a busy day and I guess when more things are on my mind, I will be less emo. It’s really hard not to be emo now. This is my window view.

Well, looking back at the photos etc, we were having so much fun!! I downloaded the video and I will keep it. I will watch it when I feel friendless. I will play the song that my class wrote for me!! cause I need to be reminded that I have a bunch of really cool friends back in Singapore.

haha here's what we did for our floor decoration. Erm, this is only a part of it. Our theme is Hitch hiker's guide to the galaxy. I don't think you all would have heard of it. Cause it's more of a western thing. And given that you all cant understand my aussie slang, you all probably can't understand the show too..

Anyway, i did not really eat breakfast and lunch today as i was really busy. when the decoration was over, i had cup noodles. i have been having cup noodles for quite a while. it's really unhealthy but hm .. and here's my dinner.. healthy hor?? i bought this from supermarket n i found out that the supermarket opens tillll 12 midnight!! so cool.. haha.

after my dinner, i attended this hall event. basically, we are divided into tables and they gave us quiz on random things like "which city is the most southern point in the world" and "which 3 world leaders signed the falta agreement". these are the few and easier that i remember. the rest were shockingly unfamiliar and I was even more shocked that people could answer these ulu ulu questions. I could answer questions like what does ASEAN stands for but before i could say anything, they already wrote down the answer. I guess I don't read that widely and I feel so ignorant. I was so quiet at the table. Hai dunno what's on their mind. Oh they can even answer the year which some war took place. SO ZAI rite?? haha. but i helped with one question that they could not answer.

i was sitting with a girl from china who gave me a feeling that she thinks she's really pretty and refuse to talk to ugly people like me. Cause when i attempted to talk to her, she was rather cold and focused her attention on australians around me. Does she look down on asians?? I was rather annoyed by such attitude. Well, i am hot and i am STILL friendly. And honestly, i was not trying to hit on her. I hope i meet more normal people.

After this nite event, i went back to my room. it was 8 plus. I decided to embark on a nite journey out of my hall.

Well, it was around 8 plus but it's like 12 midnight in singapore. Very few people walking around and quite dark. Actually, i was walking to the super market that i mentioned to buy stuff. I cant survive on junk food forever!! I need to cook!! I bought quite a lot of stuff cause i made up my mind to eat healthily and not survive on cup noodles. here's what i got..

I must make living alone a fun experience!! it was really fun shopping for grocery and making my own meal. I mean when i am free like today. but i still miss cheap food that are readily available.

hm i must say i am not too used to aussie slang here.. you all should know that i am quite procificient in English given that i was an english tutor once. for primary school tho. I rem i was at sydney airport and i was asking this aussie uncle for directions. he sprouted a string of words and all i could hear was go out turn left. but guess that's enough for me..

I am slowly getting used to the slang here. i must say i am rather adaptable. i rem during my china trip last holiday, i acquired a little of beijing's qiao4 she2 accent while i bargained with the people. i somehow feel that they will quote me a lower price. So far i realised that down here, everyone likes to ask "how is it going??" using a slang. my frenz in hall, the sales assistant, the cashier and basically almost everyone use that. Well, i must say i am quite adaptable as i vaguely know how to ask that question already.

My next task: listen to people's reply to this question. cuz i am not too sure how to answer that question. cuz i know it's a rhetorical question. how should i answer if they ask me this question while i am paying?? cuz it's such a short time span. i can say "fine", or "great" or.. but they all don't sound natural to me. i cant possibly start a whole conversation about my morning breakfast etc... i always reply " hi!!" it sounds the most correct.

wow it's a beautiful morning here.. it's ard 8am in singapore so guess many people are still sleeping!! i am going to run errands today. need to get to the bank, tax office .. anyway, any idea why my blog name is azuresius?? cuz i cant put aloysius.. n most imptly, the sky here is always azure blue. n that inspired me!! ok i got to run off..

Firstly, i wanna thank so many people who came down to the airport to send me off! and thank people who sent me smses to wish me bonvayage etc.. N thank all those who gave me small random gifts because i came here for those who din come down, please do not feel bad cuz i feel so bad that people actually came all the way down to send me. I appreciate it a lot. I have to say YOU ALL MADE IT REALLY DIFFICULT for me to leave Singapore .. I was already apprehensive about leaving. But YOU ALL made it HEART-WRENCHING for me.. Well, i guess i will slowly get use to the life here.

well, i set up this blog to update u all about my life here.. So here's what i've got..

Firstly, I got onto the plane n was rather emo.. but i was tired so slept quite a bit. hm i reached darwin in the morning n then to sydney. after which, i took a bus from sydney to canberra.. Long hor?? i budget ma.. Anyway, i was super emo when i was on the bus....

I guess cause it was a rainy day. N u all know i get emo when it's a rainy day. Well, i always feel like singing but guess my new frenz will think that i am strange. so i listen to my ipod n continue to feel emo.

Well, the bus was relaxing as i din have to drag so much stuff already. i was comfortably sitted with

emo music. The view was so calming.. Now i know why they say australia is such a laid-back country cuz the view really made me laid back on the bus. Btw, those small black dots in the pictures are cows.i saw plenty along the journey. some were close-up but i din not take any picture of them cuz like i said, i was still quite emo.

The stretch of sand was like an orange highlighter. Hm i reached canberra in the evening.. it was 15 degrees ok!! haha. i really like the weather here!! It's so cool. just like me... afternoon it'll be ard 21 degrees. well, i went to slp cuz i was really tired. kk enough of emo-ness.

WELL, it was my first day in canberra!! i was quite excited about walking around. i was prepred to embrace the second most boring city in aust after darwin. I must say it is quite relaxing here. no bustle, no crowds, in fact no people if u r not in the city. there are nice little cafes around. well, the coffee here are really nice!!! they are cheaper than singapore. down the bend ,there will be a quaint little cafe. i can imagine myself sitting there with a book in my hand and a latte looking both intelligent and lazy. here's my first meal of the day:

look at the latte there. it's 3 dollars n i say it's cheap. not only because it tastes better coffee bean, but it's relative to the other food. the sandwich here 8 dollars. n it's one of the cheapest place ard cuz it's beside my school. i am so dead, broke, and skinny. i have been hunting for cheap food but to no avail. guess i will have to cook but i feel quite paiseh to go down to the kitchen at level 1 cuz i dunno anybody in my hall yet!! i was so busy that i cant attend any of their activities and i got sick yesterday .. i must admit i finally got internet access yesterday n i was super excited but i could not contact u all online cuz i was too sick. now feeling better but still sick. hai poor thing hor??

Oh forgot to show u all my room... check it out:

i sort of like my room cuz it's rather spacious. i got my study table n a basin. however, i dun have air con here n the furnitures r a little old. still, i like my room and will make it a COMFORTABLE place to stay in. oh u r looking at my silk quilt from china with a cool cover (made by hui quan's mum).
